An Object Odyssey is a project to introduce young people to the world of industrial design: pupils between the ages of 12 and 18 create an object with the help of teachers and professional designers and in partnership with a private business or a research centre. They develop their creative, innovative and entrepreneurial skills and at the same time build an understanding of the production process from the points of view of innovation, commerce and aesthetics. The objects are presented at a public exhibition and the best ones are rewarded within the scope of a competition. So far, 189 projects have been developed with more than 1,500 participants and partnerships with large businesses have been set up.
