Finicia Jovem was developed in Portugal as a business support practice for young entrepreneurs and small businesses. This practice supported the creation and promotion of new innovative business by training participants in business education. The main objective was to tackle unemployment and promote entrepreneurship amongst young people.

National competition to schools in order to stimulate the creation of innovative projects in basic and secondary schools. The objective is to create new solutions to solve local problems in their communities. This initiative gathers public and private institutions: Ministry of Education, Energy Agency, SIC Television, Coordination of the European Year of Creativity and Innovation in Portugal, Social Security Institute. The schools that win the competition (20 schools in total, one by region) will receive solar pannels. The energy produced will be sold to the national energy network and the revenues will be spend to develop social projects during 15 years.
