BRXLBRAVO

The Brussels arts festival BRXLBRAVO is born from the wish of a number of artistic and cultural actors to organise a major artistic week-end in the capital city inspired by “Open! Ouvert!”, the opening week-end of Brussels 2000, European capital of Culture.

BRXLBRAVO, being held for the third time in 2009, reveals an amazing Brussels. For three whole days, we invite everyone to come and witness an explosion of music, dance and theatre in venues throughout the European capital, from the main stages to out on the streets. With more than two hundred events at over a hundred venues, BRXLBRAVO offers a glimpse into a bold city bursting with creativity and innovation. Colourful, cheeky, international, intriguing !

Created in 2004 by a number of artistic institutions in Brussels, BRXLBRAVO is supported by the Réseau des Arts à Bruxelles (RAB) and the Brussels Kunstenoverleg (BKO), two Brussels based culturel networks.

KlaraFestival

Historians are still debating on the exactitude of the voice from above who said: of all art forms music is the highest. Hence one of the teaser-lines of the KlaraFestival is "God says: this music makes me high as it is close to me." This year’s festival retains the original slogan – forza musica ! – as a way of communicating just what a marvellously bracing antidote to self-absorbed isolation and the numbing daily routine music can be. This all goes to make a very welcome change of scene, as we transport you from the daily routine of commute-work-home to such far-flung realms as the Far East from whence we bring you a mix of traditional and modern music, and Sweden, which is currently celebrating 6 months of its presidency.
